I’m really a mobile development enthusiast from the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First it was just a hobby but from my second job I\u2019m a professional mobile developer… at least I made my living from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2002, I was fascinated by the feature phones with limited resources. It was fun and a great challenge to write games (and applications) to these very limited devices in JAva (J2ME).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were times when I earned more from my weekend hobby than from my full-time job.\u00a0 At that time, I was selling my mobile games in the US on handango.com, eg. (Apple tends to say that App Store was the first, but that is simply a lie.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then all the platforms changed a lot, several platforms are discontinued now and I am sure that even more changes will come. This business is never boring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u00a0started developing for both modern platforms in parallel but after the 4th generation I had to choose, no one can\u00a0 be a real professional in both. Although I achieved my greatest successes on iOS I\u2019ve chosen Android finally. So for 10 years I’d been an android developer, exclusively.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Though I haven’t developed for iOS for years but I’ve always had a view of what’s going on there as I’ve always been worked in a multiplatform dev team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2023 I made a twist in my career… taking a job in mobile security, focusing on both main platforms and embedded, IoT devices again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
